We had our local vintage car run today. We visited a surviving ww2 training base for coastal batteries then later we visitted a farm museum showing how farming was before mechanisation and ww1. The day started off with the simca deciding the 50 year old coil needed replaced but my uncle must have expected this as the new one was already cable tied in place then it didn't want to start after getting fuel. Once we turned off all the electrics we got it going but my sister needs lessons in bump starting old cars, my back would apprediate it, lol. Due to the weather there wasn't the usual numbers so i've included pics of the things we saw. my camera was playing up a bit so some pics are a little dark. The patina on the peanut looks to have been done with an angle grinder, but it could also be the beginnings of an otr resto.
