Dale Sr.'s 1998 Daytona Winner

One of my first NASCAR builds after 35 years.  My only regret was using the "sanitized" decals in the box.

I tried to match the wheels to the pictures at the end of the race, one all black, one red striped, and two yellow striped.

1/24 Revell kit.

 

I'll try to get some engine and chassis shots to add.  Thanks for looking.

Here are a couple detail shots.  Nothing fancy going on here.

I especially liked how the  aftermarket foil hood pin decals laid down over the molded hood pins on the kit's hood.

Maybe one day I'll do another body with the full aftermarket decal set (Winston and Bud contingency stickers included) but for now I am pleased with it.
