ea0863 Posted June 8, 2024 Posted June 8, 2024 I remember going shopping for my first new car in 1983, and falling in love with an RX-7 in the showroom. I recall the price tag was $13,700, and thinking how crazy expensive that was I wound up buying a new Nissan Sentra for half the price, and while it turned out to be a great car - - - lo these many years later we can see the RX-7 is still a beloved classic, while nary a soul makes a model of the Nissan Sentra! I built this RX-7 easily 20 years ago, so I don't recall the particulars, but I can say it was a good quality kit. 5
Spottedlaurel Posted June 9, 2024 Posted June 9, 2024 Great to see this older build and also to hear the backstory. 1
XYHARRY Posted June 9, 2024 Posted June 9, 2024 Cool, I remember these were one of the coolest cars on the road back then but were so expensive that the intended market (young adults) couldn't afford them. Instead they were mostly seen with elderly drivers who were reliving their youth. Well done Emre on a modern classic build. Cheers, David. ?? 1
