chris4q
Here are some pictures of a 1/24 Monogram 40 Ford Pick-Up slot car that I just finished recently. The top photos show the start of the project and then the finish. I used some Monogram wheels from a Tiger chassis because I felt they looked better and I made the wheel inserts. This was a difficult project to start but it ended pretty well.
Modellpularn
Ohhh wow, what a difference!! Was the slot kit molded in white plastic? I have the original issue customizing kit, and it's molded in turquoise. I also have the '36 Ford coupe slot car - resto object, that I'll restore sometime in the future..... Jairus
Hans, you cannot ask Chris anything about vintage American stuff. He knows not if the car he is working on is original issue or recent... only that he likes it! Chris is one of the best painters I know of. And his photography is pretty darned good too! (Might even be better than Gregg!) He just buys them off eBay and does his magic! Most Slot cars from Monogram were molded in white and judging from the quality of the decals I would have to assume this was from the early 60's. That and the fact that the vintage Monogram chassis dates about 1964.
