AlbertS Posted June 23, 2024 Posted June 23, 2024 I am working on an stand-alone salt spreader that slides into the back of a 10-ton dump body. Am looking for suggestions on an air-cooled engine I could use, 1/24 or 1/25, if anyone has any ideas. Thx in advance for your input.
hct728(Bob) Posted June 23, 2024 Posted June 23, 2024 Those scale model shop compressors sure look a lot like an engine don't they
Biggu Posted June 23, 2024 Posted June 23, 2024 Our Slide in boxes used hydraulics off the truck engine, ran a few lines and a couple quick couplers to the hydraulic motor mounted on the slide in and you were in business.... Jeff 2
Warren D Posted June 25, 2024 Posted June 25, 2024 (edited) If you want a small gas engine, there was a 1/25 scale kit years ago (think it was a pick-up) that came with a small tractor, like the type you'd garden or mow with. IIRC, it had a decently detailed engine, single cylinder, that sounds like it would work. Might be real hard to find, or you could try looking for a 3D print. It's an old thread......
