Mr. Metallic Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 Here's the finished engine for the Revell '65 z-16 chevelle based Kustom I'm working on. It's the straight 6 from the Trumpeter '63 Nova sedan. Very nicely detailed (even though the bottom pulley doesn't locate anywhere). I added some spark plug wires and that's it. The rest of the parts are all painted, so I'm slowly working on the assembly. i should have it done within a couple weeks. As always, comments and questions are welcome, and thanks for looking. http://public.fotki.com/crstan/noslow-moti...ects/page2.html

Wildrice Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 I like that you are using a 6 cyl. Very cool.
Irvin Arter Jr. Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 I like where your going with this project!
Mr. Metallic Posted October 22, 2006 Author Posted October 22, 2006 Well, final assembly is moving along. Here's the finished engine, interior and almost finished frame. Interior and frame are all modified from kit parts, except the parts box steering wheel. I had a flash of "brilliance" and decided to add the grille from the '57 Chevy to dress up the front end a bit . I'm really psyched with how it turned out. As always comments and questions are welcome, and thanks for looking! http://public.fotki.com/crstan/noslow-moti...ects/page3.html

Mr. Metallic Posted October 23, 2006 Author Posted October 23, 2006 cool! like the dashboard, how did you pull of those gauges?? The faces were made by MSC Model Products. Not sure if they are still in business. I cut them out and placed them in the opening, and the dropped a couple drop of Micro Krystal Klear on them.
