Gregg Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 Went out to Sandy Beach this morning Tried out the Losi Mini Rock Crawler on some lava rocks.
Foxer Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 But the question is, did it get itself safely DOWN from there??
Custom Hearse Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 Nice Gregg! My other hobby is R/C trucks also. Here's mine.... This is the Tamiya TXT1. I re named it overkill.... I bought it brand new, and instead of building it stock, I installed 2 15 turn Reedy modified motors, 2 Novac Super Rooster speed controls, and I use 2 3300 MaH 6 cell battery packs to run it.... They used it for a display model at my LHS because I bought the body there.... Up next is my Team Losi XXXT race truck.... I added aftermarket wheels and tires to it.... And this is my 1/10th Parma '32 ford.... It even comes with a detailed Hemi.... Everyone tells me i need to turn my TXT1 into a crawler, but i enjoy speed!!!!

Guest Davkin Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 Here is my Fotki album of my older R/C cars and trucks; http://www.dsao.fotki.com/scale-models/older-rc-car-and-tr/ Here is the one I'm building now; http://www.dsao.fotki.com/scale-models/rc-blazer-trail-rig/ I've been considering getting a mini crawler myself, they certainly are quite capable. evilone Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 Seeint this remindes me of seeing thes guys out in a parking lot drifting R/Cs i didn't even know you could even drift with a R/C.Cool hobby gregg i had the cheap battery R/Cs you could get at wall fart until they burnt out.Gotta get me the die hard ones now(the other ones wouldn't stand a chance against my need for speed ).
CAL Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 (edited) But the question is, did it get itself safely DOWN from there?? Full throttle I have an RS4/3Pro A Tamiya Porsche GT1 and some things that fly Trex 250 I just got built. A couple sub micro helis Edited April 6, 2009 by CAL
Nick F40 Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 Gregg, I still have some parts for you, if you want my pair of locked TLT axles I'll think of something. David's RC's are insane, I know him on another board and Chris's RS4, yeah you know I love that thing. Other than models RC is probably the other hobby that I love and know about. I have owned many, don't have any now but looking. That TXT is sweet, you really don't see them too much anymore. Gregg, you got great trails near you
