stavanzer Posted August 15, 2024 Posted August 15, 2024 Just thinking out loud. For Most of us, this is a hobby. But for a very few people, it is a Business. Just off the top of my head, I can think of a few Model Companies here in the US. Revell Round2 Salvinos JR Atlantis Williams Bros (?) Glencoe (?) How many people are employed by all these companies? My guess is that everybody employed by Model Companies would fit in just a few Greyhound Busses. (150-300) Even If you count Tamiya, and MRC, it is still a small number, I suspect. What say you guys?
Mark Posted August 15, 2024 Posted August 15, 2024 Revell is now a German company; only a few employees on this side of the ocean. Atlantis and Salvino each probably employ more people here than any of the bigger companies. 1 1
espo Posted August 16, 2024 Posted August 16, 2024 Don't forget those involved in the distribution and model shops for sales.
