This may seem like a dumb question to you all, but how do I add multiple pictures to my posts? The only way I have been able to figure out how to do this is to "reply" to my own post. I also like some of the quotes people have by their screen names.

If you use a smart phone, I have no idea.

If posting from a computer, you can drop single or multiple photos into the area with paper clip image under the compose window. Those images will now show up in that bottom section as "UPLOADED  IMAGES". You can then left-click on each image to add it to the text in the compose window (will be added at the cursor location).

As for quoting other posts, all you have to do is click on "Quote" link on the bottom left of a post you like to quote. Just like I just did here. Quote of that post will show up in your compose window (and  the quoted text itself can be edited too).

Thanks for the prompt response. I'm usually at work, if I'm on a computer (so I can't attach pics unless they're downloaded or saved). I do have a smart phone, and it would probably be a lot easier to just do it through my phone, or just use my home PC.

Click "add files" and select the pictures you want to post. If you don't insert them they will appear at the end of the post. If you want to insert them they will appear where you leave the cursor. It's easier to write the post then move the cursor where you want each picture If you insert them.Screenshot_20240819_123909_SamsungInternet.jpg.f9afe048205bec89d38497b800a6558c.jpg

I also recently discovered on this forum (and my mountain bike forum too) that I can just copy/paste a picture into where the cursor is.

I’ve seen a few threads where people post pics ‘side by side’, to do a comparison.  Tried to do it, but always seem to end up with additional pics being added below previous pic.  What’s best way to post pics side by side?

Photos are just like very large single letters in the text area, so they can be arranged like letters. When you add multiple photos in the text area, if they are stacked vertically that means there is a Return or Enter character on the right side of each photo. If you move the flashing text cursor around you should be able to spot right at the lower right edge of the photo. If you then hit the Delete button, the photo below  will move up right against the other photo.

That is when using a PC. If you post from a phone, use whatever method you have to move the cursor to the correct location and then delete the Return character.

Thanks, Peter - tried that, but I think I need to resize my pictures to get them to line up side by side.  I'll do some experimenting!

That's true, the pictures have to fit the width of the forum window.  But you can also resize them within the message.  After you add the photo to the message just double click on the photo in the message and that will bring up "Image" popup. There, you can specify the width you want (in pixels) making sure that  "keep original aspect ratio" box is checked, then click on "Update" on the bottom of the popup.  You can edit the same photo multiple times this way to get the photos in the size you want. And if you uncheck  the "aspect ratio" box and start manually messing around with both photo dimensions, you can end up with a distorted image.

This process doesn't resize the actual uploaded picture, it just modifies how the picture is displayed in the message.  Here's an example. The top pictures (all from the same original link) have been resized to 100, 150, and 200 pixels across, and the bottom picture is the original size as it was uploaded to the forum.  With the 3 photos in-line I inserted couple of spaces between them.
