Jürgen M. Posted September 11, 2024 Author Posted September 11, 2024 Thank you Gary, glad you like it! 1
Jürgen M. Posted September 12, 2024 Author Posted September 12, 2024 The air cleaner is now connected to the turbo charger! Hood works on both sides! and both at the same time! And it even closes too! The exhaust pipe is also installed: The two hooks on the Back side of the cab are for the air lines! 1
Jürgen M. Posted September 12, 2024 Author Posted September 12, 2024 Thanks! Not a surface Like your build but I'm working on it! ? 1
Jürgen M. Posted September 14, 2024 Author Posted September 14, 2024 (edited) I'm still working on the small stuff! Can't seem to decide what kind of markerlights I'll use. The printed ones don't look really good. The printed Horns look good though. Have to paint them and the turning signals on the front fenders! I'm also thinking about rear fenders! I've almost got them so far that I can try them out and see how it looks! I'll post them when I'm ready! Put a bit of other stuff on like the side steps and the step plate. Jürgen M. Posted September 16, 2024 Author Posted September 16, 2024 Put the rear fenders on. Didn't glue them yet though. Wanted to see how it looks! What do you guys think? While I decide If they stay on or not I'll finish the rest! Mirrors, licence plates, air lines, ... 1
Biggu Posted September 16, 2024 Posted September 16, 2024 I sure like that single exhaust stack and where you mounted it. Perfect location and looks cool
BK9300 Posted September 16, 2024 Posted September 16, 2024 The fenders look good, Jurgen - maybe they need to be just a little bit longer to sit lower?

To tell the truth it wasn´t totally my idea! I copied that from one of the pics I had found in the net! I also thought it was a cool idea! Not the usual place for a stack on a conventional! 1

Jürgen M. Posted September 16, 2024 Author Posted September 16, 2024 I think it´s more or less finished. Air lines are fixed, mirrors, marker lights (they don´t look that bad after all!), turning signals, ... Only the licence plates are missing. I´ll put those on sometime this week! Also got some self made decals. Nothing amazing but I guess they´ll look alright. I´ll show you when they´re on! 1
Jürgen M. Posted September 16, 2024 Author Posted September 16, 2024 I know it´s far from a bought kit but still I like it. The next project is already in design and it will be much better in surface quality! Maybe I´ll give you a sneak preview in a few days! ? 1

Quite an achievement to have it all printed from your own design! 1
Jürgen M. Posted September 17, 2024 Author Posted September 17, 2024 Thanks! Actually the designing is what I enjoy most meanwhile! Of course building a model is fun too but the challenge of capturing the shapes of the real thing is exciting! It doesn't work everytime though. I quit designing a Road Commander because I wasn't able to create the complex geometry of the cab! Got a lot more learning and practising to do at that point! But I won't give up! I'll present the next project soon! 1
Jürgen M. Posted September 19, 2024 Author Posted September 19, 2024 Thanks for following and your great comments everyone! I posted the finished tractor in "Under Glass"! The next project is already in the design workshop (I like to call it that, sounds good!) ? Pics of the first designs will be posted soon!
Randy D Posted September 20, 2024 Posted September 20, 2024 Always enjoy seeing what you design, print and then build Jurgen. You have a great set of skills sir!! Randy 1
Jürgen M. Posted September 21, 2024 Author Posted September 21, 2024 Thanks very much, Randy! The next project is already in the pipeline! First pics of designed parts will be posted soon. I'm still trying out some new ideas in designing. 1
