FujimiLover Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Wow, look at the big gap between those who voted for real, and those who voted for model! Model win's by a mile long! Sometimes it pay's to go with the croud! Can't wait for next week's game!
Harry P. Posted April 17, 2009 Author Posted April 17, 2009 BTW... whoever just added the 51st vote... it doesn't count! You can't vote after I've already given the answer, it's TOO EASY that way!
Harry P. Posted April 17, 2009 Author Posted April 17, 2009 One more thing... someone mentioned that the door hinges look fake. I'm wondering if anyone out there knows if the hinges look like the real thing. I can't imagine someone who would build such a fantastically detailed model would then take the easy way out on the door hinges???

ricky12 Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 mirror and window fit is what gave it away to me .
MrObsessive Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Harry, do you have any more pics of this car? What scale is it? It's too nice just to have one shot! Something about the wheels was a giveaway-----------and the glass was amiss too it seems.

Something about the wheels was a giveaway-----------and the glass was amiss too it seems. No other photos except this one, under construction. As you can see, the body is sheet brass, the whole thing is totally scratchbuilt, ala Gerald Wingrove style. It's 1/10 scale.
FujimiLover Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 You can in Minnesota... I dont' live in Minnesota
MrObsessive Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Hoo boy! You can bet that costs a pretty penny when done! I got a 1/24 '57 Aston Martin DBR1 courtesy of George53 that needs restored. On my hard disc I've got a bunch of detailed photos of that car. Pics of the engine, interior, etc, for possible use when I can get enough ambition to do a detailed model of it sometime.
