What I did Yesterday!!

Well, as the weather gets warmer and we look forward to summer vacation ( not really ) we have tried to decide how best to entertain all of the boys in the hows, including the big one. LOL. So we have decided to add a game room or boys room. I refer to it as Mans Land! We are starting out with a 12' x 22' area. We will be adding a bench, a HO scale drag strip, a HO scale slot car track and train track area and some other misc. stuff including my computer and a small refrigerator!! So I spent the better part of yesterday painting the exterior walls. Now its onto rebuilding one of the interior walls, insulating it so its warmer during the winter, and putting up drywall and painting that! I will also be building the table for the slot track/train track and the drag strip in the next few days as we wait for our taxes for more materials. Here is a very unusual pic of my working!! Cool idea, please continue posting here! I want to build myselfe a game room in our basement. My Dad and I have a nice large workshop/basement in our house, but he owns 98% of it. But some day it'll be all mine. I'd like to put in a pool table, a large 1/32 scale slot car track, and a semi-professional air-brushing paint booth. Oh yea, and dont' forget a large flat-screen for movies and web-surfing!

We had company over yesterday afternoon until about 1 in the morning. So when I got up this morning, I built something to keep busy. I waited until this afternoon to get a nap in! LOL. This is the bench work for the HO drag strip. it wouls out to a one foot staging area, a scale 1,000 foot strip and a 5 foot dead braking area. Hope you enjoy. Jody

You are lucky that you have a basement. I wish I had one . Before I left home I pretty much had the basement to myself. I had HO cars and train tracks over 1/4 of the basement, plus all my model stuff. Those were the days. Good start you got there.

Update.... studded in a wall and closet area. Also wired it. Now we have power! Now I have to wait for more money Jody
