Stingray69 Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 This is my latest project, an Outlaw Pro Street Camaro. Its simply a pro street taken to its limits. This is what I have done so far: -The doors and front clip were removed. -I scratchbuilt the frame/cage for it using 1/16", 3/64", and 1/32" brass rod/tubing. Its the same design used in pro modifed, just a shorter wheelbase. -I created the firewall using sheet brass. All together there are 10 individual pieces that make it up. -I scratchbuilt a wing for the body. The primer will be much smoother before paint! -This is where the project is at now. The engine you see there is only a mock up piece for now. I am considering using the new Ross Gibson Chevy Hemi as my powerplant. Next up will be the tub work. I'll keep you folks posted.

Irvin Arter Jr. Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 Nice! Did you finish the Nova? I did not see the photos. Great brass work on the frame
Stingray69 Posted October 26, 2006 Author Posted October 26, 2006 Thanks! Irvin the Nova is still kicking! I've been hitting some road blocks with it, this is just something to keep my mind off it for a little while. Eventually it'll get finished!
ismaelg Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 Simply AMAZING! You have inspired me to try out brass. I ordered some rods and I'll try to do a simple roll cage. Thanks,
Daniel Peterson Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 You are SICK! But in a good way. That's some oustanding scratch building.
Matt T. Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 WOW!! That brass rod & sheet work is amazing! Way cool!
