mrmike Posted November 3, 2024 Posted November 3, 2024 I got this kit at the Club Meeting yesterday. This is a Snap Tite kit from Revell and I decided to go ahead and build it in spite of the other projects I have on the bench. I'm just gonna polish the body and paint the trim and the chassis details and then add the stickers. No decals with this kit. Let's see what final assembly gives me... 1
mrmike Posted November 10, 2024 Author Posted November 10, 2024 The interior and the chassis have been assembled and painted. The wheels were hit with a coating of Tamiya X-19 Smoke which dulled the chrome significantly. 1
mrmike Posted November 11, 2024 Author Posted November 11, 2024 I decided to glue the body and the bed as one for painting and ease of use. I know that many of you builders wouldn't bother, but I'm different! 2
slusher Posted November 13, 2024 Posted November 13, 2024 (edited) What color do you have in mind Mike? Edited November 13, 2024 by slusher Typo

mrmike Posted November 15, 2024 Author Posted November 15, 2024 I painted the Raptor this morning. Testors (Rustoleum) Hemi Orange Lacquer. What do you think?
mrmike Posted November 19, 2024 Author Posted November 19, 2024 Thanks Carl! I've started the arduous task of masking the Raptor body for the black out treatment. It's a good thing this tape has a limited tack as I usually leave it on for about a week or so. 1
mrmike Posted November 20, 2024 Author Posted November 20, 2024 The Raptor is up on 4 wheels! The Hemi Orange and the Black paint look great! Now to get some Gloss Clearcoat.
mrmike Posted December 4, 2024 Author Posted December 4, 2024 The body has been clearcoated with Tamiya TS-13 Gloss Clear.
mrmike Posted December 12, 2024 Author Posted December 12, 2024 (edited) I have finished my F-150 Raptor and it is posted in Under Glass. I would like to thank all those who have viewed and/or commented on my WIP. Edited December 12, 2024 by mrmike
