painting chromed (stripped) NASCAR wheels

What would you 'folks' paint a NASCAR wheel, stripped?  A shade of aluminum?  Which brand?  Thanks.

Depends on the team and the specific era. Some teams painted them to either match or contrast the car color.  I don't think I would use an aluminum, but then it is your build, so use whatever looks right to you.

Tamiya Silver Leaf would look good on them.
