I picked up this advent calender from Jay's Resin Wheels on eBay. I thought it would be fun to post every day as I open them. It has 12 days, I'll start opening them on the 14th so I can open the last one on Christmas. I'm starting this post early in case anyone wants to get one too.

It cost $120, so $10 for each item. It's supposed to have 3 engines and 9 sets of wheels. I've gotten a few sets of wheels from them in the past and they were all good quality.

It came in a pretty nice box.

I'll be posting the 1st item on the 14th, so follow along if you'd like to see what's in it.

Day 1

20" staggered width billet wheels and tires with brakes.

These look great, there's even lettering details on the sidewalls. They would look right at home on a 90's street truck.

Day 4

22" Budnik Muroc III with white wall.

The white wall is painted on the tire and the detail is nice and crisp. These would look great on a lowered '50s cruiser.

The first of 3 engines.

The detail on this is great, the Buick emblem on the blower is a nice touch. This would be great in a Buick restomod.

Day 6, half way done.

15" American Racing Eldo with wide whites.

More good quality. The spokes are crisp and thin, and the white walls are well done.

These would look great on a 30s-50s Cadillac.

I wonder if every box is different

I was wondering that too. I was hoping someone else who got one might comment.

Day 7

20/21" U.S. Mags Rio Grande with brakes.

I like the retro look of these. They would look good on a late 60s-early 70s Mopar.

Great detail although it might be a little hard to paint because it's 1 piece. It would look good in pretty much any year Thunderbird.

The tread on the tires is great. They would look good on a truck with a mild lift.

The detail is great, especially on the old school BFG tread. They would look great on a mild custom '69-'70 Cougar or maybe even a Thunderbird.

Day 11

20/21 inch GTA with brakes

Crisp detail on the spokes, they're so thin I was a bit worried about getting the wheels out of the tires, but they're strong enough to withstand some handling. These would look great on a 3rd gen Firebird or maybe a Grand Prix.

The last one had a bonus item in it!

Great detail on the engine, it would look great in pretty much any Ford.

The wheels are nice, the rears are almost twice as wide as the fronts, they would look great on something with curvy quarter panels like a '70 Chevelle or a '67 Impala.

This advent calendar was a lot of fun and I liked everything in it. If I'm able to find uses for everything, I'd do it again next year.

Merry Christmas everyone!
