Falcon Ranchero Posted December 9, 2024 Posted December 9, 2024 The final show of the 2023 season; even with the prospect of rain, the local A&W had such a big turn out, late comers couldn't find a place to park. A&W had been rained into cancellation twice prior, so it was good the show happened this time. 3
TarheelRick Posted December 9, 2024 Posted December 9, 2024 Nice pictures, really like that gray Charger. 2

Yeah it was actually for sale before this show, and we had seen it at last year's local show with a for sale sign and it was owned by an older couple downsizing a collection. Unfortunately the car was out of our price range at $39,000 which was actually reasonable considering the condition. Original 383 car turned 440. The photo of the car here at the A&W show was with its new owner, and he was a way younger dude who put different rims on it. Though the rims on it now are way nicer than the previous ones.
Bainford Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 What? No photos of the Corvairs...?๐ Looks like a good turn out. Thanks for posting. 1

There is probably not a Chevrolet made that I would park in my yard, the sole exception being a second gen Corvair. 1
Falcon Ranchero Posted December 10, 2024 Author Posted December 10, 2024 It's funny though too because there's a surprisingly healthy population of Corvairs in town here; I think a few more than the 7 or 8 '69 Camaros around here; so they are pretty popular little machines; I don't hate them; in fact I have great admiration for the '60-'61s as 3 '61s cruised through the jungle of the Darien Gap back in 1961 and 2 made it out alive. Real hardy carsย
