Ya'll probably seen this Nova already it was originally gonna be built to replicate my aunt & uncles 72 Chevy Nova which was purchased new in 1971 but i couldnt get any pics of the nova as reference pics so i decided to build this one from the movie "Deathproof". The interior is gonna be simple instead of that plexiglass partition they had in the movie car its to scary for me its gonna have a roll cage and two racing seats. The wheels came from a 68 El Camino which the silver accents is going in black. Its gonna be hard to find the rubber duck hood ornament & the skull decal. What ya'll think.

Just need to find an old 'convoy' Mack truck model. They show up on e bay from time to time. Then you'll have the duck. Just paint it silver for the death proof car instead of gold for the convoy truck. Wonder why they stole that duck from that movie anyways.

From what I have read, Tarantino's use of each particular car, and other small details was to honor the classic films that inspired him when he was young. He wasn't trying to steal anything, just give people a "I remember that" smile. I think he did a great job making a fun old school film.

Heres some progress on the Nova i havent done much on this one. The only thing i did so far was painted the frame, modified the kits roll bar and i also stripped off the flat black paint that i applied recently i wasnt too happy with the results the black looked like a grayish black and another reason why i stripped off the paint was i could still see the seams in the body so im redoing the body work so im getting this one right.
