Hello, I bought this kit in the 80s and I assembled and disassembled it three times, so I have to scratch reproduce parts, it is the only one that survived from my models from when I was a child. I thank Seth for sending me photographs of some lost pieces which I will now be able to reproduce. The truck is currently in this state.

With this photograph from the internet I will make the decal that goes on the doors.

Hey Titino

It looks like it's not in bad shape for all those years. Interior is real nice.

Hello Ronald, the first time I put it together without painting, the second time I painted it blue and put an electric motor on it and the third time I think it is this one, now painted white. I already got him a trailer, a tanker. Thank you very much for your comments.

This will be fun to watch. I see more builders rebuilding old kits. I have never given this much thought, but maybe I need to give it a try. So be stealing some tips from you.

Hello Gary, ask whatever you want, I started with this kit a long time ago and I don't have many photographs, I didn't have a camera at that time. I have used everything, copper wires, rods made with parts from other models, sheets of plastic signage, soda straws, electrical cable insulation, etc., etc.

Hello, we continue with the Mack, I glued the cabin to the chassis, and detailed some parts.

PA200132.JPG.2e89c6b9f5dbf8447ebde0be0cf86b6d.JPGI also wanted to show you that the rear axle has the shock absorbers loose, without attaching to the leaf springs, so that all the wheels touch the ground. I also present some photographs with the trailer.

I like the detailing that you've done on the rear suspension. Great paint job and other detailing on the cab and hood - looks really good!

Thank you very much Lee, Brian and Jürgen, I think the issue of the rear suspension is important to show, it can solve many headaches. The paint is white synthetic enamel.

Yes it is just one of its dirty secrets. I’ve got one almost done just doing some final stuff to it.

I like how you fixed the side marker lights on the fenders where they belong and separated the MACK letters too. Your pin wash looks good around the vents and doors are nice. It’s very hard to get this cab and hood  to sit level but as Bill ( My Bother) and I we’re talking today how yours sits perfectly. I’m still fighting with mine but I will eventually get it. Thanks for sharing.

Was the feature with the tiltable suspension meant to be or did you do that yourself?

I remember it being movable on the DM800 Ertl kit! I loved that feature!

Hello Jürgen, the suspension is fixed without movement, what I did was leave the lower end of the shock absorbers unglued, so that it pivots on the axis provided by the model.

Hello, thanks to the photographs that Seth (53gmc) provided me, I was able to make the roof deflector from scratch.

Hello, today I added the decal that the hood has (numbers), but I would like you to help me see what color scheme I can do since it is assembled and can be uncomfortable to carry out. Thank you so much. Greetings.

Hello, doing tests on the PC with photographs of the truck, I found a decoration that I liked and applied it, based on images from the Internet.
