Dark green with a metallic gold or black frame still has my vote!

Here are some ideas I am thinking of.... I am usually very conservative when it comes to stuff like this, BUT...... I REALLY like the last pic of the Kenworth heavy haul with the green fenders and frame...... just something about that..... photos for discussion only....

Do what you feel, Jeff! It's gonna look great no matter what you choose!

I’ m like a little kid with this. I seem to be all over the place with this color choice even though I probably have a month or two to make a final decision , but maybe that bright green frame and black cab would be better placed on a Pete and a more “ show “ style for the Western Star … last night I thought I had it all in  hand as I like to plan well ahead, but this morning not so much …….🤔🤔

You'll figure it out Pal. And don't pick yellow with pink and purple polka dots.

I am never sure of a color on a build and then one day during the assembly , it just hits me. My turquoise/white heavy haulers where a last minute choice, the GMC beer truck was matched to a decal set, the Autocar was last minute decision at the last second. Give it time, the color will expose itself.

That second Green one is my favorite but green is my favorite color.

I think both you guys are right. The black and green frame may be too ‘ aggressive’ for the Star but more suited for KW or Pete …. Which will come but for now I need to refine my thoughts. I’m sure it will come to me but for now I’m scratching my head. …… the ‘vision’ is … a very sharp and handsome work truck that is well cares for and an eye catcher ….. you know the ones….

Jeff I found a couple more for you. You will figure this out. That Western Star with the White Freightliner Conventional debut paint scheme they did in 1973-74 is my favorite. Notice the warm air intake pure Blooded Canadian 😂

Those are classic paints for sure and that is the exact can style I’m working with. Thanks Lee !

Well after over 670 views I have ‘finally’ cut some plastic …. Nothing earth shattering but it is a start and it is straight and true …….

I agree leave them and move forward before you get burned out on this one. They will not be seen that well and the paint will camouflage them anyway. I would rather look a beautiful paint job and stripe package than something I can’t see very well and looks molded in anyway after paint. Just my opinion. There a time and place where  this type of thing needs attention I don’t think this is one of those moments.

Ok, thanks Lee, I will take that under advisement for sure...  opinions are always good, that what really helps decision wise... Happy New Year my friend..
