Hi guys…picked this up at a swap earlier today. I’ve never seen it, hit the google machine on my phone and not much came up about it. Box has a little fade and some mild tape marks on it but it looks totally complete and the decals are super nice…hopefully some decal saver will keep them that way lol. It’s marked 1975. I know about the real car but never knew this kit existed for some reason. But man the box art was too cool to resist. I had 125 bucks and walked away with the kit and a good chunk of my money still in my pocket. Going to be fun to build I think!  Anybody have one built up or still unbuilt? D99A7E38-F25E-49F5-A85F-C9F39D68E86C.jpeg.8518a0ac22f17d04b54f795e2e80080e.jpegEF3FC005-83E1-40BE-91D7-FB5220C3873A.jpeg.6f0d95368f2774c4cddb18043f0cd1d9.jpeg276921CA-E943-4BEB-9562-D1C50E1380BE.jpeg.b94af7106321b9e699c9914e640775d2.jpeg

While I've never owned a copy ( I was 5 in '75 ) nor have I seen one in person , I would be down for one these days.

Buck-twenty-five sounds like a score ! especially considering its condition and completeness.

Be nice if Round2 would reissue this bad boy. Other 'an the Super Trick  rims an' the tryes, the decals are the only differences between this issue ( 1st reissue ? ) and the later , 80's reissues ( not buildable as stock, as per the typical MPC 80s reissues... and that hideous, pitch-black tinted 'glass' of that era ).

Gonna build that rascal ?

Yep gonna build it! I gave 100 for it, walked out with 25 still in my wallet at the end of the day. Gonna be fun!! Just hoping that the decals are OK

Before you try anything with the decals, scan them as a backup. If the originals fail, you can print new ones or have it done

I remember that particular issue of that kit being available in Eaton's Christmas catalog of 1975 (or maybe 1974 or 1976, might have been Sears's)

There was also a normal '63 kit with the factory fuel injection engine in it and all done in stock trim

Released at the same time as the original 1/16 clear body Petty Charger.  Decent price for an unbuilt one, congrats.

Sounds right, instructions and decal sheets say 1975 👍

Yes I’ve learned that it was offered in stock form too 👍

If the decals are old, you can coat them with Microscale decal film. That does a great job of keeping old decals together, and doesn't make them noticeably thicker.

Yes thanks….I’ve used it before with great results, but a couple of times the decals were just too old so I’ve got reproductions on order to be safe 👍

I should have added; in a Canadian catalog. Dunno about the USA catalogs.

I also think that its first issue included a battery-powered electric motor to make the engine vibrate and fan turns, and working headlights.
