Jim B Posted February 25 Posted February 25 I have a Salvinos JR NASCAR Camaro, and I want to add the safely harness to the seat as the kit doesn't have any harness decals. I'm assuming that NASCAR uses a 6-point harness, but what color is it? What's the best way to make a 6-point harness?
Shark Posted February 25 Posted February 25 The best way is an aftermarket one with photo etched parts. Several sites carry them, Detail Master, Ted's Modeling Market Place and probably Southern Motorsports. Don't know if they have changed from previous configurations on the new cars.
Brutalform Posted February 26 Posted February 26 Check out Futurattraction. Scott sells the lever style latch harness that NASCAR cars use. 1
bobss396 Posted February 26 Posted February 26 I'm using Scale Motorsports 1/20 Scale belt hardware. Easier to see and work with. I like a good-sized hole in the attaching points, .020" is pretty good since PE is a pain to open the holes on. Belt material... I never was able to get the fancy ribbon material to work. I scavenge flat gift-ribbon material, light colored preferred so it can be "painted" with markers. At the $ store, I bought a roll of light blue curling ribbon. I run it over a steel scale to knock down most of the texture. This is my current go-to belt material
