Jim B Posted March 3 Posted March 3 I recently purchased a SalvinosJR Camaro NASCAR kit, and on the whole I'm impressed with it. So, because of this purchased, I have been watching some highlights of recent NASCAR races on YouTube. I just finished watching the highlights from the race at COTA, and I noticed that the cars have a single wiper on the windshield (something the kit is missing). Is this new? I don't seem the remember NASCAR cars having wipers. Do they only have them at certain tracks (road course vs. super speedway)?
iBorg Posted March 3 Posted March 3 NASCAR has starting using wipers on road races. The intent is to run in the rain as long as its not a heavy downpour with lightning. 1
Jim B Posted March 3 Author Posted March 3 (edited) Well, that makes sense. Thanks. Saves me from having to source a wiper. Wonder if anyone makes a road course conversion kit with wipers, rain tires, and whatever else is different. Edited March 3 by Jim B
Shark Posted March 3 Posted March 3 I believe Jim Rodgers (the JR in Salvino JR) 3D prints some stuff for their kits.
Jim B Posted March 3 Author Posted March 3 I know he had a 3D kit for the Le Mans Garage 56 car (minus the lights), but I don't know if that's still available.
Shark Posted March 3 Posted March 3 Forgot, Jaye's Model Garage has several parts for the current cars including the wiper. He parts are really good quality and fit. 1
