Bainford Posted Monday at 08:49 PM Posted Monday at 08:49 PM Fantastic! What an elegant looking pickup. Love the black paint. I really love this build. Reminds me a little of a Hudson Terraplane, though you did the back of the cab much more nicely then the Terraplane. 1

This started as an AMT 34 Ford 5w coupe. Modified the cabin into a PU cab and chopped it about 3”, Little modifying to the rear fenders to fit the shortened bed from the AMT 34 Ford PU Was a fun build, but I wasn't able to get happy with the wheels, so I modified the axle ends and back/inside of the wheels so the wheels are held on with magnets. This way I can swap them out if the right wheel comes to my vision. Wheels are my resin castings that are copies from the Revel 32 Ford roadster that I machined down to fit Modelhaus tires front and rear. Front axle from a Revell 32 Ford. Paint is Tamiya rattle can with lots of wet sanding and polishing. NO clearcoat though. Jason..,,,cool concept and very nicely executed to boot! I'd like to think the that the late Dave HIll...the king of 1/1 and 1/24th-25th phantom Ford Street rod passenger/pickup phantoms....would have heartily approved of your work here. Big congrats.....TIM 1
Dtimmerman89 Posted 21 minutes ago Posted 21 minutes ago Gorgeous build. I'd love to see the build process so I can see how you chopped up the cab. I want to give my hand a try at making one.
