Mike 1017 Posted March 12 Posted March 12 MPC RAMCHARGERS FED VS Atlantis Snake-Mongoose FED. Which one would you recommend or an alternative FED? Mike
Mark Posted March 13 Posted March 13 Pretty sure the Atlantis (ex-Monogram) kit was developed during the period when Monogram was owned by Mattel, and the kit assembly revolves around the body (no chassis detail). The MPC kit does have a chassis, molded in two halves. The body is likewise split down the center (from the engine back) with the front portion being split along the sides. The Atlantis kit is probably easier to build but harder to build differently than straight from the box. The MPC kit is probably more fiddly but will have more parts and more detail.
stavanzer Posted March 14 Posted March 14 Directions for the Atlantis, (ex-Monogram) kit. https://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/monogram-instructions/straightline-competition/monogram-mongoose-r/?view=roll#1 MPC kit on HPI Guys workshop.

iBorg Posted March 14 Posted March 14 I'd go with the AMT Ivo dragster if you want that body, short wheelbase car, the Tommy Ivo double kit, late FE, MPC Garlits or one of its decal brother cars. I wouldn't go with either the Snake/Mongoose reissue or the Ramchagers. 1
