Tamiya 1966 VW Beetle 1300

Picked it up for a decent price. This is my first Tamiya build and so far I’m really impressed with the fit and finish. Going to paint it coral blue (TS-41) with the long term goal of having a VW Samba built with the same colour.

I was away working. I made a bit of a mess of the paint job, so I’m going to try to weather it a bit and make it more of a rusted paint job.

Nice looking kit.  I owned one a long time ago. Wife (at the time,also a long time ago😂) went around an off ramp loop too fast and rolled it.
