Hondamatic Posted April 7 Posted April 7 I know you should do whatever you want with model kits, but I always thought the revell 54 highboy looked so tough so I wanted to paint it as instructed, but I found this copy of the original sheet and I don't understand it at all. Any ideas?
1930fordpickup Posted April 7 Posted April 7 It looks like the highlighted areas are painted to match the color that is highlighted by it.

Just wasn't too sure on the shaded stuff. I was thinking flat black, because of the lower flag, but I saw silver at the top in a vague area too

Some may not go together like you would think but with the guide and your tastes it will work out.

I think the silver call-out is for the wheel parts and the tools along the top portion of that parts sprue. The take-away here is that, being a gasser type car, you can go with whatever colours look good. They call-out red for the rear axel, orange for the headers, silver for the front suspension, all just imaginative colours, and nothing that is factory correct or represents an actual car. You can quite safely choose any colour for any of those components that looks right or good to you.
