Katsusauce Posted April 13 Posted April 13 I'm going to try and build this Nissan Cube in a VIP Style.....😂 2
Katsusauce Posted April 13 Author Posted April 13 First off, I wanted to move the stock rear seat all the way back to the rear, but both the front and rear seat bottoms were molded into the floor pan. So I decided to cut them both out, patch the holes, and try and decide what to do about seating. 2
Katsusauce Posted April 13 Author Posted April 13 I had some Revell 59 Cadillac seats in my "junkyard" and decided that's what I'm going with. Here's the rear mockup. 3
Katsusauce Posted April 13 Author Posted April 13 I'm using the bucket seats from the 59 Cadillac for the fronts. They looked a little short, so I fabricated tall seat rails for them. Kind of looks to big for the little Cube..... what to do.....🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 5
Katsusauce Posted April 15 Author Posted April 15 Next I'm going to try and make a touch screen for the audio, maybe another screen below the HVAC controls, and a digital dash cluster. 3
OldNYJim Posted April 15 Posted April 15 Looks like a good start! What’s the cream colored filler you used on the floor? Tamiya? 1

Katsusauce Posted April 18 Author Posted April 18 I decided to cut another hole in the dash....the glove box to be precise. Printed up an android home screen for the audio opening, and a Sony home screen for the glove box monitor. I decided to go with Tamiya's Bright Blue and Black for the interior colors. 1
Katsusauce Posted April 19 Author Posted April 19 The Cube has to have a rear spoiler.... it just has too.
Katsusauce Posted April 19 Author Posted April 19 Front suspension is pretty much dialed in. Hard camber. 😂 2
Katsusauce Posted April 19 Author Posted April 19 The front lower arms needed to go up so it meets the lowered state of the spindle. A little work with my "V" shaped file and a little heat from a hair dryer fixed that.
Katsusauce Posted April 19 Author Posted April 19 The rear suspension was super easy. Cut down the mounting just a bit (2.75mm) and filed the wheel mount to camber the wheels into the wheel well. I use a camber gauge by ZoomOn Models to make sure it's somewhat accurate and symmetrical (or close to symmetrical 😂). 1
