Does any of the aftermarket producers, resin of 3D printed, make a straight 6 gas engine that would be suitable in size for a 50s big truck? I'd even settle for a straight 6 diesel that could masquerade as a gas engine as long as it was big enough so as to not look ridiculous in a bigger truck from the era.

I did a Hall&Scott gas engine 3d model and print it. I had installed in a Peterbilt 280 COE. If you want one I can do a print for you. Sent me a PM for further details

A "Scalding Hott" engine.

In Aviation they were used in many aircraft, but never liked. The Nickname "Scalding Hott" was one of the family safe names they were called. I've read a couple others that were unprintable. In Trucks & Busses though, they had very long service lives, and were used in many, many places.

Ya know.... Hall-Scott did a monster V-12 that wound up in a road-going early 50's Kenworth...

Could get up and down the mountain roads with ease... as long as there were gas stations close by!

Would be a bitchin' marine engine, too.

I'd love to get kits of either or both of those.

This is a 3 D Model of the V12 Hall Scott engine. The KW is an old  Dan's Models KW 500 Series ind a piece of s... frame from Dan's Models.

To build the KW with the V12 Hall Scott ithe cab has to be widen because it is a three seat ca. The hood must be longer than the one from the I6 engine.  The original truck was fuel tanker. I have one very dark picture of the rig. It was destroyed in an accident.

Project is currently on hold due to some issues with the interpretation of pictures of the original engine. Stephen I'll led you know when  the engine is finished.

In the description of the factory installed Scotty in the Kenny - they mention a 12" frame stretch between cab and axle, which just makes it that much cooler.

Would love to get a finished Hall-Scott 12 for a 'done-lost-my-mind' build of a Dumas boats triple cockpit rum runner. I haven't done a stick model since I was 10, so it will be an adventure.
