Scott Eriksen Posted Tuesday at 06:30 PM Posted Tuesday at 06:30 PM Starting the next project Global Scale's B-61 and I'm using the Montone dump body from the Autocar , I might do it as a "repower" with a ENDT675 if the turbo clears,,I have some parts and some in the pipeline. Thinking black with a red frame or maroon/burgundy with a black frame and gold lettering/pinstripes. See what happens........... 6

Scott Eriksen Posted Thursday at 05:15 PM Author Posted Thursday at 05:15 PM (edited) Work continues on the B61 ,,I'll take some pics tonight, had to work today ,make a run to Car Craft in Staten Island to p/u a remount they painted,,,while I was waiting I wandered around and took some pics,,,tucked in a corner were 2 show truck builds in progress and old purple Pete that was an old show truck back in the late 80's that's getting rebuilt and an early 90's Western Star custom build .A 2002 FDNY Saulsbury Rescue getting rehabbed ,,some new wrecker builds and a brand new Boars Head truck Edited Thursday at 08:27 PM by Scott Eriksen 2
Scott Eriksen Posted Thursday at 11:22 PM Author Posted Thursday at 11:22 PM (edited) Ok,so everything seems pretty good so far,the 675 should fit no problem, the B fits good on the R chassis and I can use the R cab mounts.I narrowed down the R's radiator so it would fit the B's radiator shell,,I filled the gaps on both ends with thin Evergreen sheet and trimmed to the same profile as the rad. Initial measurement for the dump body to cab clearance allowing for the stack and everything shows just a bit of frame lengthening might be needed. I may go with the round fuel tanks with the steps built in that are in the R's kit,,not sure yet . I have 6 spoke Auslowe wheels for this and Jamie's tires. I decided to go with a red cab/black fenders, black dump body and red frame. Going to try and do my own "gold leaf" decals . I have Model Car Garage piano hinge for the butterfly hood,, that should challenge my eyesight! lol Edited Thursday at 11:27 PM by Scott Eriksen 5
