Hey Scott

You should use the hinges I used on my Autocar build, they will work way better then those fiddly model car garage ones, they are to delicate. Go to Micromark for the little hinges.

Hey Scott

I think thats the one the redneckrigger used on one of his doors, it's a little big for 1/25. I used that hinge on my 1/16 Peterbilt 359.

20210715_163830.jpgAs you can see it's perfect for 1/16 scale but a triffle large for 1/25-24 scales.

I figured I'll see what it looks like only dimension was .360 opened so it's a guess how it will look on the butterfly hood,,,I have the ones you have to use if it looks too big

I used the Dumas brass piano hinge on the hood,,I didn't think it looked that bad,,shot the cab fenders and the dump body black,,started throwing some brake valves and air lines on the chassis.Made a hyd pump support bracket and hung the pump

Hinging the hood turned out well, Scott.  Paint job is really going to pop on this one!

As long as the pops aren't under the paint!  lol,,,yeah even though the black shows all the sins ,,,it should look good with the red cab/frame and chrome radiator shell/aluminum tanks .I think I'll do the rims white and the cast spokes will be red with the frame

Scott, this is coming together really well.

Thanks Gary,,I might put the company name on a piece of Evergreen sheet ,red to match the cab ,in "gold leaf" lettering just above the long body bar
