bobss396 Posted May 2 Posted May 2 I finally got a new AMT '60 Ford truck kit... a tad bummed over the zero-frills chassis. Mainly I would like to know if anyone makes a '57 grille for the kit. I like those over what came in the kit. Thanks!
rattle can man Posted May 2 Posted May 2 wracking my brain to remember where I saw a conversion kit recently. I'll post if I remember.
rattle can man Posted May 2 Posted May 2 Best Model Car Parts has precisely 1 conversion kit listed on Etsy. cab, grille hood, and bumper.

I will take a look, thanks! Edit: He has a full cab trans kit, for $49. I have to see if he will just sell a grille. Edited May 3 by bobss396

Right, a great conversion kit to a '57. Just a grill change won't work, hood, fenders and bumper used are completely different than that of a '60. Hopefully we see a '58 and '59 conversion kit from Best Model Car Parts also, because we won't see it from AMT. Edited May 10 by leafsprings2 3

The kit needs a lot of other help, like the rudimentary chassis and engine that does not cut it. I'd think of using another chassis under it. I have a few 3D printed FE engines and I'd like to whack 12" out of the bed and make the tail gate work.

Hobby Lobby may have the Foose truck, I have to look. This would be a little more modern over the '53. I know I have a '53 around somewhere. I still may spring for the '57 conversion, which is currently sold out. I definitely want a working tailgate and a shorter bed.
