Hi there, I was advised the Big Boys section has been closed and advised to post here.
How popular or desirable is the 1/8 Monogram Golden T kit? I realise it is just a re release of the original Big T but I have some parts I have no use for and am looking at putting them on eBay or whatever is best.
If this is the wrong section please can someone find a better page for me, I would like to sell to get a few ££ back so ignored the 'Trade page' as selling is barred.
Thanks, JTea.

Best thing to do is look through the sold listings on eBay. That'll give you a good idea. What parts are they?

They ain't worth nothing, let me send you my address and you can just send them here so I can... dispose of them.

Seriously though, ebay will give you a decent ballpark of where to start. Be aware that there are some items that are very overpriced so decided if you want them to actually sell or sit around until a sucker comes along.

Parts are Grills and fuel tanks mainly. I am in the UK actually, plenty of builders seem to be interested in the original version(Chrome rather than Gold) as they scratch easily.

Yeah, I get that. The gold is a bit of a put off for a lot of people. It' doesn't bother me since re-plating or painting is my preference. Kit chrome often looks quite toy-like to me. I think, if it was me, I'd just put them all in a lot and start the bidding where you're comfortable and see what happens.

The "gold plating" is just  yellow tinted paint applied over the chrome. I have successfully removed it with a short soak in 91% alcohol.
