I was looking for a video of the 2025 Shizuoka modelshow and found a video that I partially watched in 2024. What I liked from that video were a couple of Japanese Bosozoku cars in Egg-plane style. It reminded me somewhat of those Neko Works cars, but these are more modelkits than those Neko Works.

I have been trying to see if they are available from somewhere, but I am affraid these might be a stock-modelkit and some labour-intensive scratchwork to get them in these proportions. I hope that I am wrong, because I really dig them and want to get some, they seem fun, wild projects to do.

i've seen files for them on cults but they call them tooned builds. Theres ones for most popular tuner cars and some muscle cars are creeping in too. I've got similar style vw teapot somewhere

Yeah I love these things too. Some kits from the 80s came with these proportions, but with stock style bodies, and these guys would make their own bodykits and mods. They're pretty pricey now though. Some these are modified regular kits, and I saw some articles in a Japanese model magazine where they showed where the cuts were to get these proportions

@The Creative Explorer try searching for Noppo kits. I have one, and the box art suggests there were others in the range:

1:24 Nissan Skyline 'Ken & Mary' Noppo 4dr (C110)

Those I've since seen for sale were not cheap! I was lucky to get mine quite a while ago before there was much interest in this sort of thing. It's one of the few, maybe only, kits in my stash where I'm unsure if it'll get built due to its potential value.
