thank you and cool i did knot know that they actually sold them in australia under a different name i assumed the ones that popped up in classic aussie cop chows were cars someone bought from the states and had shipped over then converted and then ended up selling the car at some point and crawfords bought them to use as the cars used by the criminal of the week in their various cop shows

Ford, GM, Mopar and AMC all had rhd models assembled in Australia. They were used as VIP cars and/or status symbols. In the 60s the local Australian offerings were very basic compared to what the US was offering.
