Calling this one done.  Once I got the frame issue resolved, it turned out well.  I'm getting the hang of the AFV Club kits, you need to study the instructions and test fit everything.  You also have to look for mis-numbered parts but for someone who has built many an AMT kit, this is nothing new!  Color is my own mix and is a lot closer to the FS 24087 than anything available in hobby paint.

Another awesome build. These trucks are sweet, and definitely a new rabbit hole for me.

Thanks, they can be addicting.  So much more out there than there was 15 years ago....

I have one of these kits. It will have to be something I have to build with no other distractions.

I have some weathering supplies, down to the red that real vets tell me that we're crawling in the mud over there.

I would suggest you take a look at this thread, there are more than a few issues with this kit as released:  https://forums.kitmaker.net/t/building-the-afv-club-m51a2-gun-truck-peace-maker/50279

Thanks. I am taking notes.

The 2 biggest are when building the chassis to download and use the instructions for the dump truck which uses the shorter frame rails.  Just remember to remove the 6mm sections from the front of the frame rails for a non-winch truck. The next biggy is that the parts tree "Q" is missing from the kit completely and you will need it as it has the glass for the windshield armor.  You may need to contact the seller, I got mine from Taiwan via ebay and the seller has been very good at replacing parts.  In fact, I got notice last week they are sending the "Q" parts even though mine is done.

Another small item that I haven't mentioned previously is that the hydraulics for the dump bed don't quite allow it to sit all the way down.  I looked for hours trying to figure out what the source was and never did find out why.  As a gun truck, I won't be raising the dump body so I applied a little pressure and tacked it down with superglue.
