RACINE ISHRAQUR RAZA Posted June 3 Posted June 3 1985 Dodge Omni GLH-T. Restored & detailed this 1/24 scale die cast by MotorMax. Well there's not way too much to detail on this. MotorMax did an excellent job with this model to begin with. The things I added are full interior carpeting, highlighting the mushroom shaped door locks and window cranks, installing seat belts, window tint, painting the engine bay to match body paint and then painting the rest of the stuff under the hood to make them look more realistic, under hood insulation, and making the antenna with metal wire. As the chassis was broken in many pieces I super glued the whole thing and coated with epoxy for strength inside, then painted the chassis flat black, and finally painted the gas tank and exhaust. 8
Falcon Ranchero Posted June 3 Posted June 3 Looks good. Turns out that GLH, according to Carrol Shelby, means "Goes Like Hell".
WillyBilly Posted June 4 Posted June 4 Outstanding. A few months ago, I was looking to see if a kit, or resin kit existed, and when I came up empty handed, I broke down and purchased the Motormax version in black. I had not thought about detailing it until now. Great work.
Mike 1017 Posted June 4 Posted June 4 Very nice Omni. I had a 1:1 until the outside door handle pulled out right in my hand.
RACINE ISHRAQUR RAZA Posted June 4 Author Posted June 4 Thank you everyone for the compliment! Much appreciated!
RACINE ISHRAQUR RAZA Posted June 4 Author Posted June 4 @WillyBilly Thanks! Motormax also made a Plymouth Horizon and I was fortunate to get one. I'll be detailing that one in the same way and once complete I'll share it here.
