Tyreman Posted June 5 Posted June 5 (edited) Smashing! best we not take things to seriously! i have my own 442 horror story i have not posted yet (probably never will),some clues in the photos..but not all work out...i feel for you brave of you to share but made my day we learn and move on...do not let this get you down, your paint and attention to detail looks great!....to late now you know that! take a break and work out a solution when not working out... it is best you share friend you have my respect. Daverde Posted June 6 Posted June 6 Bummer I’ve done that in the past … but not lately try to just walk away next time or build it as a wrecked 442 the work you did was very nice looking 1
Tyreman Posted June 17 Posted June 17 (edited) I forgot to say an easy fix..it is only the a pillars and glass..no need to strip the body..throw nothing away! put back in the box and build other things...you will have the day when you know how to fix it. Edited June 17 by Tyreman 1
Tyreman Posted June 17 Posted June 17 (edited) PS I have resin casts of the a pillars if any help no charge..cut and splice in.and the screen can be clear plastic happy to include...looks better than the kit glass...why i made a pillars I am not buying kits just for a replacement body....but get more experience and i am no expert myself...learning from my mistakes. I trashed it, not wasting time on poor quality old kits, thats why after Im done my Amt/Revell/Monogram kits I will be switching to Tamiya. 1

Do not give up on them Friend it is worth the learning curve..please trust me on that please ;)... Tamiya will be a walk in the park in comparison if you stick with AMT/Revell/Monogram.... just ask here if you run into a problem...i think a good idea to have a few buils at once and when one is frustrating put to one side and do something simple on another build...I sound patronizing but what works for me.
