Need help with attaching AMT mirrors

I could use a little assistance with the best way to go about attaching the AMT Ford Louisville side mirrors. Can anyone please advise how they got them to go on straight, and even? What glue did you use? As always help is very much appreciated. Thank you.

I pin mirrors in place. I try to use the biggest "pin" that the mirror mounts will accept. That with CA glue holds them on pretty well.

I always use watch crystal cement for door handles and mirrors. It will allow you a few seconds to get it positioned where you want it.
