MonoPed Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 Both were built some time ago, but they are the first steps to "Corvette Guy" status..lol!! First up is the Accurate Miniatures '64 Grand Sport Coupe. Pretty much OOB except for the shorter side pipes made from aluminum tube, and some plug wires. Color is Duplicolor Ultramarine with Duplicolor Classic white for the stripe, and PPG urethane clear. Now I'd kinda like toget one of the Macleren kits, and I can't wait for the Cobra kit! Next up is the old Monogram '65 Corvette Stingray Coupe. This is the kit that spawned the current issue '66 Penske Corvette. This one os OOB except for plug wires, fuel line, radio antenna, aluminum tube exhaust tips and Goodyears from a newer Revell kit. Paint is Tamiya TS-08 Italian Red, rubbed out with Novus #2 plastic polish.
ismaelg Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 Needless to say, I love them both! One of these days I'll have to work on the AM Grand Sport. So many projects, so little time!!! Thanks,
Andy Wyatt Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 I still love that red '65...would look pretty good at my house! Very clean builds.
