Looking forward to another Leach build! Your reference photo was the same as I used for my color choice, can't go wrong w that combo. I wasn't able to source the packer when I built mine..ended up scratchbuilding it. 20221106_124410.jpg.002000fa48f0ba309d60fe73173841b0.jpg

Can't wait to see your progress

You guys come up with cool material/ideas for your builds

At the NNL East a guy had one of Global Scales Brockway's with his Leach packer ,,I have a pic I think I posted it on my NNL post ,,looked great ,,I got the Leach and the Brockway but thats gonna be another Montone dump job . The DM600 makes for a good garbage truck! I'm gonna home brew some decals for this one too

I had done my Brockway COE with the Keystone Leach packer about 3 years ago:

You will likely need a longer chassis than the Mack kit has or will need to stretch it.  With these packers, there is a lot of empty space in the front of the body, lots of weight in the rear even before the garbage is added.  Point is, you don't want too much body overhang in the rear.

Already figured in as far as the frame stretch . I have the 361 Brockway ,will most likely get a 6-71 Detroit and the Montone dump body from the A-car kit

Just use the A-Car frame.  You'll need to make mods to the 361 but it fits pretty well.  I built a 361 with Montone dump for one of the annual build offs, might have been 2022.

Just curious, do you have a source for the Brockway fuel tanks and battery box/airtank?

My build thread for the 361 dump:

I was referring to the DM 600 and the frame stretch for that,,but yeah when I get to the Brockway build I would use the A-car stuff ,,except with the Detroit

Warren,my Global Scale Brock came with fuel tanks and air I believe,,,they're pretty close to a Mack tank

They are Mack tanks!

Mack used a lot of their own parts on Brockway to save money after they purchased the brand!

Popcorn and beer are ready, ....

I've bought a few Brockway cabs from him and they haven't had batt boxes nor fuel tanks.  Yes, the Brockway fuel tanks are close to Mack tanks but the earlier 300 series trucks tanks look a little different than the Mack.  I'm also going by the tanks and batt boxes I got from Dave at AITM which seem to look like those I see on Brocks at truck shows.
