What is real?

How do we know what is real? i am jumping the gun! but i think time to start thinking about buillds verified and seen by other members?... a bit early this i know but that AI! I think it will help the hobby in that people will want to see our builds in person....perfect for model shows

check for a build thread? ai would probably be more obvious in those. it would be where we can see if its real or not. also ai colouring and shading is much brighter than real pics are. its always seems to try and make pics look like they are hd

As Les mentioned AI images are highly defined and crystal clear, where as regular human model car images will not be as polished or 100% in focus.

Thanks for taking the time to reply,..i am talkng members using AI to improve builds,i know no one here would do that but the future? like i said i am jumping the gun and not accusing anyone.

Its not my point what looks like AI or not?  but i know you mean well

I think if members here were using ai to improve their builds other members would soon call them out about if they try to be cheat us. it would be in the same class as scamming imo as its a lie. is it worth losing the respect of your peers for 5 mins of kudos? I dont think it is.

to put another way Luke we will know if real or not...but will the none model builders? my concern.

i agree! and i am not accusing anyone.all open and honest as to when and why using AI...its early days.

Well I guess if at some point in the future lots of Ai generated car models start showing up on the forum, then you would assume another sub section would need to be created to separate Ai generated.

I doubt there is any need for concern about Ai created or the casual observer, sure some people will use Ai as a tool but most if not all that visit this forum are here to see and discuss the creation of all things related to real world physically created scale model cars.
