junkyardjeff Posted July 27 Posted July 27 I really have others I can build but looking to do a quicky on this one, using the last decent body parts from that parts collection I picked up a couple years ago. Going to build this one as a 40 standard since the only good fenders are from a sedan and not sure of the engine but leaning towards the 390 from the 34 pickup kit which I should have one that is unbuilt. Thinking primered bumper less hotrod 4 1
junkyardjeff Posted July 27 Author Posted July 27 Just when I thought I used up all usable parts I find more.
junkyardjeff Posted July 27 Author Posted July 27 Decided on bumpers so the brackets were taken from a junk Lindbergh chassis. 1
junkyardjeff Posted July 27 Author Posted July 27 When I rebuilt alot of the models from that big parts stash I picked up I ended up on ebay finding better parts but on this one I am not spending a penny and using what I have in stock including paint. 1
junkyardjeff Posted July 27 Author Posted July 27 It's got bumpers and took the chrome pen to a set of stock 40 rims, something to do when I come on to cool down. 2
junkyardjeff Posted Friday at 01:48 AM Author Posted Friday at 01:48 AM Fenders have paint and will be together this weekend, found a molded in gray Buick engine so it's painted and will be going in. The only non vintage parts are the bumper brackets that came off a Lindbergh chassis
junkyardjeff Posted Saturday at 01:15 PM Author Posted Saturday at 01:15 PM Starting to look like a car but out of flat black to paint the running boards so time to go to the hobby shop, found two different sets of headers for the Buick engine and presume the ones that exit under the running boards come from the early kits.
junkyardjeff Posted Saturday at 01:20 PM Author Posted Saturday at 01:20 PM Never noticed the difference in the valve covers before and presume the chromed stock were from the early kits. 1
