65slotcar Posted Monday at 12:58 AM Posted Monday at 12:58 AM Hello Group, it has been a couple years since my last post. busy with my 1/1 scale cars but now im back at the hobby table. Many projects i want to finish but couldn't help starting a new project. i found decals for this Bud Moore Cougar that i believe ran in a Nascar GT series. Don't know much of the history of the car, maybe someone here does. So the old Cougar kit came with a basic false engine compartment with no shock towers. So i chopped out engine compartment and front suspension clip from a revell/ monogram 65 shelby mustang. wheels and tires from Plastic Performance Products. Bill 5 1
bobss396 Posted Monday at 11:18 AM Posted Monday at 11:18 AM You are off to a good start. I'd try to find some pictures with the hood up. Tiny Lund ran a similar class Camaro. Bobby Allison had a Mustang.
Volzfan59 Posted Monday at 02:16 PM Posted Monday at 02:16 PM I like what you’re doing with this. Thank you for the ride along. The 1:1 car is a looker.

The Trans Am Mustang of that same year ran a 2- 4 barrel intake on a small block 289. that would look cool !
THarrison351 Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago I hope you guys realize this is Paul "Lil Bud" Moore the driver, not the car owner with this Cougar. He was competing in the Grand Americans in NASCAR, the owner was Bob Wilson 1
Shark Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Bud Moore the car owner also fielded Mustangs very successfully in this series. Gave him an advantage in Nascar with the knowledge he gained running small block engines.
