Mike 1017 Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Go to the Pebble Beach Concourse. I am sure that a Ferrari guy would by it for $1,000 or more. 😂
Ace-Garageguy Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago (edited) The Ideal version isn't too hard to find. I bought one years ago, being taken in by the claimed "1/24" scale by the seller. It ain't. The body proportions aren't terribly bad, and as I've never seen two 166 Barchettas that were identical anyway, it could certainly be the basis of a nice shelf model with appropriate upgrades I like your "ITS ACTUALLY: SCALE FLUID". That's pretty funny. EDIT: The Ideal kit refers to it as a 212, which was skinned by several coachbuilders as a Barchetta-style "roadster", a more "civilized" convertible, as well as a coupe. absmiami Posted 6 hours ago Author Posted 6 hours ago "Go to the Pebble Beach Concourse. I am sure that a Ferrari guy would by it for $1,000 or more." Mike: this is a great idea - but a vender's table at the concourse costs $2,000 I could stroll around the entrance gate in a trench coat and open the coat to flash the kit ?? maybe I could sell the kit at the concourse entrance for enough $$ for entrance ?? this idea has been rejected by the Finance Minister ... sigh ... 1
absmiami Posted 6 hours ago Author Posted 6 hours ago Ace - thanks for the post - actually the shape of the body doesn't look that bad from above - and maybe the article in Veloce was wrong - I agree w you that it looks more like the 212 ... who knows 1
