bobss396 Posted Friday at 11:41 AM Posted Friday at 11:41 AM He was also a master-shredder for his time. Listen to some of his recordings with Mary Ford. He was in a bad car accident at some point and shattered his right arm. He had the surgeons set it in a way that he could play guitar. 2
iamsuperdan Posted Saturday at 10:23 PM Posted Saturday at 10:23 PM Except that Les Paul didn't invent the electric guitar. Rickenbacker did it first. RIckenbacker had an electric guitar on the market in the 1930s, where GIbson didn't do it until the 1950s. In fact, Gibson didn't care about electric until after Fender started doing it in the 1940s, and they saw how successful it was becoming. Les Paul did help Gibson design and produce their first electric model. Les Paul was a prolific inventor, and definitely came up with some groundbreaking things, but he did not invent the elctric guitar. 2 1
