PetroleumPrimate Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago This is AMT's Dodge Viper kit converted into a Jaguar D-Type style road machine. The kit roll bar was cut off and the windscreen was cut down. The interior was switched to right hand drive (easy, actually) and a rear fin was added. Aoshima wheels were used to replace the not so nice kit parts. Painted in Testor's British racing green - not the best paint job. This model was made over 25 years ago, when the kit was fairly new. I found it in a baggie behind the workbench. Multiple parts had fallen off of it, and I just restored it. The AMT kit was very fussy to assemble, and re-building this model reminded me of that. I somehow got the hood to fit - this is a minor miracle. I may add some white gumballs to break up the dark green... 2
Rattlecan Dan Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Pretty sharp-looking. Could be imagined as the retro D Jag. Nice work.
