This is similar to what's happening in Canada now. 

We have to complete customs clearance on a third party app prior to hitting the post office to drop of a parcel. 

They need to know what the parcel contains, the value, and where the product was manufactured. Then they charge the appropriate tariff/duty/whatever and collect it. 

Then you get a QR that you present to the post office. 

Then you pay the post office.

 

Ugh.

There are several decal sheets I meant to buy from China and now I'm hesitant. They usually run less than $10 US each but I don't want to order something only to have it get held up or have a big fee tacked on.
