Daytonablue03z Posted August 29 Posted August 29 Currently I am working on converting the 71 mercury cyclone stock car kit into a street car using the revell 70 torino kit. I'll post updates as I go and move through the conversion. I haven't decided on using either the 429 cobra jet or the boss 429 from the cyclone. If I use the cyclone engine it looks like I'll have to notch the shock towers. 9

bytownshaker Posted August 30 Posted August 30 My brother owned a 70 Cyclone Spoiler 429 SCJ and my nephew is now restoring it. I'll definitely be following your build. 2
Daytonablue03z Posted August 31 Author Posted August 31 So no update today. I was hoping to have the body in paint but unfortunately the paint reacted with the primer so into some ipa it went. Its the fastest way to remove tamiya paints. Hopefully ill get it into some tamiya primer tomorrow ill have to mix some up.
Daytonablue03z Posted September 1 Author Posted September 1 (edited) Finally got the body in paint. I had several bad paint reactions. Now to wait on the 1970 annual tail lights, spoiler and grill i found on ebay to come in. Still gotta do some interior detailing and some chassis detailing. Edited September 1 by Daytonablue03z 2
