Andria H Posted yesterday at 11:49 AM Posted yesterday at 11:49 AM Found an AMT Ecto-1A kit for cheap and decided to chop it into a "coupe de fleurs", aka funeral flower car. Ended up incorporating lots of Polar Lights and Monogram parts in. 1
Andria H Posted yesterday at 11:52 AM Author Posted yesterday at 11:52 AM Current progress. This is a design I created to approximate a Miller Meteor or S&S or Hess & Eisenhardt "coupe de fleurs", but it is a replica of nothing as far as its design goes. The roofline is slightly chopped at the B-posts/raked back with Polar Lights glass up front/cutdown and recut kit supplied windshield in back & the window glass apertures recurved, the "stainless steel" rear deck is a Polar Lights Ecto-1 top cut/filed/filled to suit, with the "dutchman panel" between the rear window ledge/where the rear deck sits on made from part of the hood/cowl of the PL Ecto kit I cut up for parts and the raised portion made from a parts bin "parade boot". The dash is AMT in a Polar Lights interior tub, with Monogram Caddy parts used throughout where originals are unsuitable to my eyes. Paint color will be close to factory Gloucester Grey Metallic with a black or lighter grey vinyl top and detailed Gloucester Grey dash with Andros Blue interior. 2
David G. Posted yesterday at 12:11 PM Posted yesterday at 12:11 PM That's a good start. I'm interested to see how it turns out. David G. 1
Big Messer Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Nice!. Many moons ago I started one myself, but for... reasons never finished it.
bobss396 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago We had a local junkyard that had one they used to deliver parts.
